LIn coastal Monmouth and Ocean counties, we are fortunate to have dedicated organizations making a real difference in the lives of veterans and their families. From peer-resource networks to home-repair programs and veteran-specific awareness and recognition, the following three charities stand out for their impact, local presence and community-driven approach. Whether you’re looking to partner, volunteer or simply raise awareness — these are meaningful ways to serve those who served.
Association of the United States Army (AUSA) Monmouth Chapter

Founded in 1966, the AUSA Monmouth Chapter has made it its mission to be the “Voice for the Army – Support for the Soldier” in the greater Monmouth region. Through fundraising, awareness campaigns and community partnerships, the chapter supports veterans, active duty, reservists and their families with programs that build connection, purpose and local impact.
Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity (HFHMC) – L.I.F.T. Program

The L.I.F.T. (Local Initiative for Troops) home-repair program assists eligible veterans and their families in Monmouth County by completing vital repairs and accessibility modifications free of charge.
The Monmouth County Habitat for Humanity organization has long been building homes and hope — and through its dedicated L.I.F.T. program, it brings direct benefit to local veterans and their families. By mobilizing volunteers, donations and community support, L.I.F.T. addresses safety, mobility and housing-maintenance needs for those who served.
New Jersey Veterans Network (NJVN)
